Scrapbooking has always been around, but never more popular than it is today. It used to be that scrapbook accessories were only available through a few small catalogs and the handful of stores that you never found. Scrapbooking accessories were more often just the odds and ends that scrapbookers clipped and cropped from their magazines and art stores.
Scrapbooking today is a whole different world. The number of people scrapbooking is at an all time high. As a result, hundreds of companies have stepped in to fulfill the demand. Virtually every arts and crafts store has aisles of scrapbooking accessories. It’s an activity that mothers and daughters and girlfriends can get together to do.
Perhaps the best proof that scrapbooking is achieving a new level of prominence is the scrapbooking retreat in Ohio. A quaint bed and breakfast has been transformed into a place where scrapbookers can get away for a week or weekend and socialize with other scrapbookers. Scrapbooking retreats….what’s next….perhaps competitive scrapbooking judged by a panel of experts?
